Kathryn began playing bridge in 1988 and has recently achieved the rank of ACBL Gold Life Master in 2024. At the start of her bridge journey, she frequently played with her parents and formed special partnerships with friends she encountered along the way. She earned the title of ACBL Life Master in 2005 and has since nurtured a continuous desire to advance her skills in the captivating game of bridge.

Kathryn LeGro, having retired from her career as an electrical & electronics/software engineer in the government sector, now dedicates more time to mastering bridge at higher levels and participating in partnership bridge at ACBL tournaments, local clubs in Sacramento and surrounding areas, and on Bridge Base Online.

Passionate about bridge, Kathryn is eager to engage with and support bridge clubs, offering her expertise to the community by assisting others in enhancing their bridge skills. She is ready to oversee ACBL club games, conduct bridge workshops and classes, and provide instruction to novice and intermediate players, either online or in person.

With a comprehensive understanding of various bidding systems like 2/1, SAYC, and Precision, Kathryn is equipped with knowledge of numerous bridge conventions and possesses the ability to teach effective hand play, including making successful opening leads.
